Friends of Aviation Mission

Our mission is simple - we want to increase communication and cooperation between all people and organizations of Aviation and by that increase the public knowledge and support for Aviation. We want to keep the dream of flight alive and make it possible for anyone to experience what Flying and Aviation is all about. We would like to see the entire Aviation Community brought together as an overall cohesive group, working closely together to forward our common purposes. The educational, social and cultural values of Aviation are major and it is up to us to make the public aware of them.

Further, we belive that the many contributions of Aviation to humanity and indeed planet earth, as a whole, are vital.  And that the world is better for it.  We would like to raise awareness of the value of these contributions to the world.

Friends of Aviation Code of Honor

I pledge myself to the Code of Friends of Aviation and hereby promise:

1. To exemplify in my conduct, the honor, passion and true spirit of adventure that is the essence of Aviation.
2. To do all I can to improve my ability and skills as an Aviation professional through continous training and to demand of myself and my fellow Aviators the highest degree of excellence and professionalism.
3. To make safety the number one priority and to recognize and manage risks effectively.
4. To decry and do all I can to abolish any and all abuses against life and Mankind through the mis-use of of Aviation or Aviation related knowledge, including acts of terrorism.
5. To bring about an atmosphere of safety and security in the field of Aviation, by adhereing closely to safety protocols and never considering myself above the carefully gleaned knowledge available to us.
6. To act with responsibility and courtesy and to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
7. To support any true humanitarian endeavors in the fields of Aviation.
8. To stand up for the right to fly for all by actively decrying the suppression of knowledge, wisdom, or personal freedom as it affects the field of Aviation, all over the world.
9. Not to tolerate any sort of bigotry or discrimination, but to foster instead a community of tolerance and inclusiveness, which is a hallmark of Aviation.
10. To exert and practice my right to contribute to the Aviation community and take my share of responsibility for the impact of Aviation upon the world.
11. To ensure the media, the general public and other friends of aviation are accurately informed concerning all matters pertinent to the world of Aviation and it's advances. Further to do everything within my power to make said information available to all who seek it. And do my part to communicate the true joy that Aviation has to offer.
12. To refuse to accept gossip and misrepresentations related to the field of Aviation, but demand clear objective reporting of incidents.
13. To be true to my own goals.
